Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, the Former Kano State Governor, has officially joined the presidential race to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari in 2023.
The ex-governor on Tuesday paid the required N30m and obtained the presidential nomination and expression of interest forms for the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP).
NNPP’s National Chairman, Prof. Rufai Alkali and the National Organising Secretary, Senator Suleiman Hunkuyi alongside other members of the National Working Committee received Kwankwaso at the party’s national secretariat.
Speaking after receiving his form, Kwankwaso slammed the ruling APC and PDP for failure Nigerians despite giving them the opportunity to change the country good.
Recall that Kwankwaso had in February announced the formation of the Third Force party, under the aegis of The National Movement.
Others in the Third Force team included Sen. Hunkuyi of Kaduna State; former Minister of Youths and Sports Development, Solomon Dalung; popular Northern critic, Buba Galadima; and other prominent Nigerians.
According to them, the party would take over power from the ruling All Progressives Congress in 2023.
Prominent Nigerians at the formation of the TF were elder statesman, Tanko Yakasai; Air Vice Marshall Ifeanaju; Solomon Edoda; Nweze Onu; Falasade Aliyu; Rufai Alkali; Suleiman Hunkuyi; Grace Ben; Umale Shittu; Ibrahim Ringim; Ali Gwaska; Paul Okala; Rufai Hanga; Idris Wada; Abdulrahman Abubakar, among several others.
