2023: If NNPP accept Peter Obi to become the presidential candidate, North will vote Atiku -Buba Galadima

Chieftain of New Nigeria People Party, Buba Galadima has stated that the party is not willing to give Peter Obi Presidential ticket because the north would opt to vote Atiku Abubakar.

Speaking to Arise Tv in an exclusive interview this morning, Buba said they want to be strategic before taking a decision.

According to him, if the merger fails to materialized, they would look for another better candidate to run with Rabiu Kwankwaso.

“We are looking for the best and suitable running mate from Southern part of Nigeria, not just the South-East,” he told Arise tv.

“And I want to say that if Rabiu Kwankwaso deputizes Peter Obi, it would not be the ticket of Peter Obi that will gain currency. It would be Atiku Abubakar that will benefit because as far as we are concerned if Rabiu Kwankwaso steps down to be Vice President, the people from this part of the country are likely to vote one of their own who is also running for the President. But if Peter Obi accept to be Rabiu Kwankwaso vice, he will not lose his followership. Because this would be the best South-East would have gotten in this 2023 presidential election since they are out of PDP and APC. Again with the promise and viability of producing President after Kwankwaso will now make them self satisfied,” Buba said.
