The Jigawa State FADAMA 3 under the coordination office of J cares two organised procurement training for fadama farmers in Hadejia Senatorial zone in the state.
The programme which is under the supervision of Nigeria cares in collaboration with Jigawa state government, supported by the world bank, is aimed at providing rural infrastructure and food security to the nation in which the disbursement will soon commence any moment from today.
According to the state project coordinator,
Alhaji Aminu Isah Ringim, 4500 famers under J cares programme in Jigawa state are expected to benefit from the projects.
The participant however, would be drawn from the 27 local government areas of the state, in which each council has five beneficiaries
The coordinator also stated that the aims of the projects is to reduce the covid 19 effect to the farmers in the state to ensure food security in the country.
Isah explained further that 4500 farmers are targeted to be supported across the 27 local government areas in the state.
Adding that in Hadejia Emirate eight local government each with five participate in J cares programme will make a total of 40 participants in the programme
He therefore call on the participants to pay more attention to acquiring the knowledge given to them by facilitators.
In the same vain charge members of the procurement committed to always keep their record and ensure transparency among them failure to do that the programme will fail.
He however, advise them to always keep the record of materials given to them for proper documentation .
Adding that the training will cover Hadejia, Kazaure and Dutse Emirate council and will last for three days starting from today with Hadejia Emirate.
Among the participant include the desk officers, facilitators and P.I.U with seventeen participants.
