Edo Election: NAF Airlift Election Materials Ahead of Saturday’s Polls

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) have started moving election materials for the forthcoming September 21 governorship election in Edo State.

A statement issued on Wednesday, by Kabiru Ali, the Deputy Director of Public Relations and Information for the Nigerian Air Force, indicated that this initiative is part of a comprehensive strategy to guarantee the prompt and secure delivery of essential materials required for the effective execution of the elections.

According to him, the exercise demonstrates the collaboration between the force and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Benin, Edo State (INEC).

He said, “The airlift operation demonstrates the collaboration between NAF and INEC, aimed at facilitating logistics and ensuring a peaceful election process in Edo State.”

The Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar, during a recent meeting with the INEC Chairman, Professor Mahmood Yakubu, reiterated NAF’s commitment to providing airlift for the swift movement of electoral materials.
