The Government of Osun State has authorized an online registration platform for the 2025 Hajj pilgrimage, geared at enhancing transparency and operational efficiency in Hajj management.
This decision was announced in a statement by the Commissioner for Home Affairs, Aderibigbe Rasheed, who confirmed that the online system will serve both the Muslim and Christian Pilgrims Boards.
According to Rasheed, the Governor decision stems from a desire to promote transparency and minimize direct contact in the registration process, ensuring individuals and groups receive value for their expenditures.
He said, “Mr Governor is concerned about accountability and transparency in government dealings and with his determination to ensure value for money expended by individuals or groups, hence the resolve minimizes personal contact with intending pilgrims registration.
“Given this development, the Osun State government is hereby imploring Members of the Public who are interested in the year 2025 Hajj pilgrimage should log on to muslimpilgrim.osunstate.gov.ng to Apply for 2025 Hajj. Christian Pilgrims should apply at christianpilgrim.osunstate.gov.ng.
“This would make the process more open and less time-consuming for our intending pilgrims and give value for money.”
