Hadiza Charge Jigawa Youth to Participate in Active Politics

The youths of Jigawa state, have been charge to participate in politics the call was made by the former commissioner of women affairs Hajia Hadiza Abdulwahab, at at a political discuss cultural social and economic integration held at Jigawa state polytechnic today.

The commissioner said if youth are not allowed to fully participates in active politics the nation will be governed by illiterate.

It is by engaging them in politics that is when the society can get better, she therefore charge the groups to educated the youth in the state to come out in their numbers to participate in politics.

She admonish the organisers of the programme to educate the youth by promoting them to join the system.

She explained further that the groups should collaborate with school authorities, from primary to higher institution of learning to catch them Young.

She charge the youth to vote out unqualified politicians especially those with the habit of playing money politics and vote in credible people, people with merit and integrity, the people who can assist the society.

Again she advise the youth to collect what ever such politicians bring, that it is lawfully theirs, charging them to collect the money and vote them out at the same time.

She also charge them not to involve themselves in money politics

In her quotation, according to professor Muhd zayyau a lecturer at Usman Danfodio university sokoto, said political culture of the northern Nigeria, has identified the following reasons for lack of active participation of youth in politics which include poor political, culture Lack of fundamental support from the background, lack of civil knowledge, Social economic factors and political decay.
