Okorocha, Six Others to be Arraign in Court For Corruption 

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has filed 17-count charges involving criminal diversion of public funds running into billions of naira and properties against the former governor of Imo State.

The lawmaker presenting Imo West Senatorial district, said Rochas Okorocha will be arraigned before a Federal High Court in Abuja on Tuesday over corruption charges.

The charges filed before the court was signed by one A.O Ikota on behalf of the anti-graft agency.

It was gathered that the commission has served Okorocha and other defendants in compliance with the provisions of the law.

Justice Inyang Eden Ekwo of the Abuja division of the Federal High Court is expected to rule over the case.

It would be recalled that EFCC filed charges against Okorocha hours after he declared his intention to contest in the 2023 presidential election.

Others involved in the case include Anyim Nyerere Chinenye, Naphtali International Limited, Perfect Finish Multi Projects Limited, Consolid Projects Consulting Limited, Pramif International Limited, and Legend World Concepts Limited.
