As confusion and crisis deepens in APC, it may likely cause a reschedule of its National convention from March 26 to another time.
According to report gathered the new crisis have rocked the party which may likely force the party caretaker committee to reschedule its long overdue national convention from 26th March to another day.
However, Investigation indicate that the crisis in the party has taken another dimension following the appearance of two complicating papers on zoning formula both carrying president Muhammad Buhari’s signature.
Party members from different part of the country particularly Northwest zone are worried about the documents and its adverse effect to the stability of the party.
Many party members, have expressed their concern on the grievous damage the conflicting documents may caused to the party especially as 2023 general election drowns near.
According to some staunch party members and stakeholders, maintained that conducting peaceful national convention is very significant in electing party national leaders and also shaping the future of the party ahead of next coming general election.
However, they hold an opinion that the two papers allegedly signed by president Buhari will create more hiccups toward uniting party members and conducting hitch-Free convention.
The first paper on consensus zoning formula approved and signed by party leader President Muhammad Buhari was signed on 25th February 2022 , with Senator Abdullahi Adamu as consensus party national chairman and Hon Faruku Adamu Aliyu as deputy national chairman Northwest.
While the second paper on zoning formula that is in circulation was signed by President Buhari on 1st March 2022 with no name of any consensus candidate of any position in the party.
