Jigawa state Government, said it has maintained over 700 functional health facilities across the 27 local government areas in the state.
This was announced by the acting commissioner ministry of health Alhaji Salisu Muazu while briefing the newsmen about the activities of the ministry.
Adding that about 13 primary health centres were upgraded to secondary status and two general hospitals in a completion stage.
Salisu confirmed that two new specialist hospital will soon be completed in kazaure and Hadejia all in an effort to meet up the federal government policy on health.
Dr. Salisu Muazu explained that the four general hospital awarded by the Jigawa state government is at completion stage.
He assured that equipment will soon be installed in all the facilities adding that isolation centres established by the state government has 51 beds to accormadate people with emergency problem in the state.
Adding that 160 youth were selected and send to Sudan to study medicine in which in the next five years they will return to improve Jigawa heath sector
