Cult Group Murder Newly Married Man in Bayelsa, Hang Head on Pole Over Supremacy Tussle

A suspected cult group has beheaded a newly married man, identified as Martins Honest Garando, in Sagbama town, Sagbama Local Government Area of Bayelsa State.

The 30-year-old was beheaded over tussle for supremacy between two cult groups in the area.

The deceased got married to his wife, Belepeigha Gloria Oyins last year July.

His wife who was pregnant during the ceremony later gave birth to a baby boy.
According to Nigerian Tribune, the suspects sneaked into the deceased area at 1:30am, invaded his home, drag him out severed his head and took it away with them.

The assailants hung the severed head on an electric pole for the indigenes of the community to see.

Confirming the incident, Spokesman of the State Police Command, SP Asinim Butswat, said police operatives have already evacuated the corpse to St. Luke Mortuary in Sagbama, while an investigation was ongoing.
