CAF Doping Officer Dies Over Stamped at MKO Abiola Stadium Following 1-1 Draw With Ghana 

Dr Joseph Kabungo, Confederation of African Football’s Doping Officer for the game between Nigeria and Ghana, has died after the  violence that occurred when the match ended in 1-1 draw in Abuja.

British-Nigerian journalist Osasu Obayiuwana confirmed the sad news stating that Dr Joseph Kabungo, a Zambian medical practitioner who was on duty as a doping officer, suddenly collapsed and died.

Obayiuwana initially tweeted: “Sad news: I understand that an official for the @NGSuperEagles v @GhanaBlackstars match (not a referee or assistant referee) died in #Abuja today.”
