Many Terrorists Killed as ISWAP, Boko Haram Clash in Borno

Scores of terrorists have reportedly been killed in a deadly clash between members of the Islamic State in West Africa Province (ISWAP) and Boko Haram terrorists.

the heavy clash happened on Tuesday at Gargaj village in Bama Local Government Area of Borno State, the epicentre of insurgency in Nigeria.

According to an intelligence report obtained from top military sources by a counter-insurgency expert, Zagazola Makama, the battle for supremacy resulted in heavy causalities on both sides.

The security analyst in the Lake Chad region revealed that a high-ranking Boko Haram Commander, Elhaj Ousman, was killed in the duel which occurred last week.

Recall that the two rival groups have been involved in a series of deadly clashes over supremacy. One of such clashes led to the death of the leader of Boko Haram, Abubakar Shekau, in 2021.
