The parent of late Deborah Yakubu have witnessed another transformation as they become restaurant owners in Port Harcourt, Rivers State capital city.
Deborah is the young Christian girl that was beaten and burnt to death weeks ago by her colleagues at the premises of the Shehu Shagari College of Education, Sokoto State where she was a student.
The late miss Deborah was accused of blaspheming Islam’s Prophet Muhammad and was set ablaze by her male Muslim coursemates.
The incident sparked reactions and almost resulted in a religious crisis by extension in some parts of the country, including Abuja and Bauchi.
While recovering from their sorrowful experience, Deborah’s parents got comforted through the help of a Port Harcourt-based Christian clergyman, the General Overseer of Omega Power Ministries, Chibuzor Chinyere.
Mr Samuel Yakubu and his family were moved from Niger State where they lived to Port Harcourt. Apostle Chinyere sheltered them and enrolled the children in schools.
Weeks after, Apostle Chineyere again through his ministry, donated a restaurant to the deceased family.
Raye24reporters, learnt that the restaurant was declared open Monday.
