Barr Maurice Ebam Launches Youth Movement Against Vote Buying

The immediate Past National Youth Leader of African Democratic Congress (ADC), Barr. Maurice Oru Ebam in keeping true to his words to continue his contribution to nation building has launched a group called the Movement for Youths Against Vote Buying.

Barr. Maurice Oru Ebam said the 2023 general elections must not end up being decided by the size of a bride budget, rather the choice of citizens hence the need to checkmate vote buying so as to guarantee the right of the citizens to freely exercise their democratic franchise, stating that vote buying should have no place in Nigeria’s democracy.

The Movement for Youth Against Vote Buying is a nationwide movement led by Barr. Maurice Oru Ebam and his over 50,000 organic followers both within the country and in the diaspora.

The movement is to promote voter education and enlightenment, carrying out campaigns to sensitise Nigerians on the negative implications of vote buying especially on how it increases the cost of elections.

However, Barr. Maurice Oru Ebam explained that the menace of vote buying is not insurmountable hence the launching of the Movement to help in the aggressive sensation of electorates.

“As patriotic Nigerian youths passionate about nation building with a burning desire for change, it is time to launch an effective response to put a stop to the menace,” he posited.
