The operatives of Bauchi State Police Command, has arrested a 59-year-old man for raping his neighbour’s 18-month-old baby.
Spokesman of the command, SP Ahmed Wakil, who confirmed the incident in a statement on Saturday, August 13, said the suspect was arrested after mother of the baby, Nenkat Danladi, reported the rape case to Yelwa police station.
According to the spokesman, one Nenkat Danladi, of Yelwan Kagadama lodged a complaint in Yelwa police station that she met one Alhamdu Yusuf aged 59yrs of same address on her bed with her daughter one Blessing (not real name) of the same address,” the statement read.
He said; “After about 30 minutes the nominal complainant discovered that the private part of her daughter is oozing blood, on the recipe of the complaint a team DCB personnel led by DPO yelwa rushed the victim to ATBU Teaching Hospital Bauchi for medical examination. The suspect was arrested and an investigation commence in earnest
