2023: Angry Residents Stone Kwankwaso With Satchet Water In Kogi State

Rabiu Kwankwaso, the presidential candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) for the 2023 election, was on Wednesday pelted with sachets of water in Kogi State.

Raye24reporters reports that Kwankwaso was in Lokoja, the state capital to inaugurate the party’s secretariat and his campaign offices.

The incident happened at a popular hotel where he was billed to address his supporters.

The NNPP presidential candidate, who had visited Ogbonicha, the country home of late Prince Abubakar Audu, returned to Lokoja to a hostile reception by a faction of the NNPP, who felt the presidential candidate gave prominence to late Prince Audu’s loyalists who recently defected to the NNPP in the state.

Some of the members lamented that having waited since the early hours in Lokoja, Kwankwaso abandoned them for Audu’s loyalists whom they claimed are still members of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC).

Security agents intervened and kept Kwankwaso safe.
