Tukur Mamu’s Arrest: Family Member Of Kaduna-Abuja Railway Victim Pleads For Bandit Negotiator’s Release

In order to help secure the release of his relative, a family member of one of the surviving Kaduna-Abuja train kidnapping victims has pleaded with the Federal Government to pressure the Department of State Services to free the bandit negotiator immediately.

Yusufu Musa pleaded with the Federal Government to assist in the freedom of Tukur Mamu in order to aid in the liberation of his sister and other victims who are still being kept prisoner in a statement to bendelnews in Kaduna.

The families of the victims have been reassured by the Federal Government that efforts to release Kaduna train attack victims won’t be hampered by the arrest of the publisher of the Desert Herald, Tukur Mamu, said Mohammed Maigari Dingiyadi, Minister of Police Affairs.

Dingiyadi made this statement right after the Thursday NSC meeting, which was held in the Council Chambers of the Presidential Villa under the direction of President Muhammadu Buhari.

Recall that many Nigerians are currently concerned that the victims of the Kaduna-Abuja train may not be freed due to Mamu, the bandit negotiator, being detained on suspicion of terrorism.

Over 60 Kaduna-Abuja railway passengers were kidnapped in March 2022, according to Raye24reporters. Since then, 22 more people have remained in prison after being freed in batches by the publisher of the Kaduna-based Desert Herald Newspapers, Mamu.

Mamu was detained in Egypt a few days ago while en route to Hajj and eventually freed. At the Nigerian airport, however, the DSS picked him up once more.
