Ahead of the 2023 general election, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has officially flagged off its presidential campaign in Akwa Ibom State.
The presidential campaign is been held at the Nest of Champions Stadium in Uyo, the state capital, Raye24reporters learnt
Some of the dignitaries in attendance at the event, include the presidential candidate of the party, Atiku Abubakar, his running mate and Governor of Delta State, Ifeanyi Okowa and the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Udom Emmanuel.
Others include the Governor of Bauchi State, Bala Mohammed, the Governor of Adamawa State, Ahmadu Fintiri, former vice president, Nnamdi Sambo, former Governor of Niger State, Babangida Aliyu and the former lawmaker representing Kogi West, Dino Melaye among other top party officials.
PDP is hoping to take over power at the end of President Muhammadu Buhari’s tenure in 2023.
