Indigenous Company to Participate in J Care Project in Jigawa

    The world bank has sinked over N700million naira to run the J cares projects in Jigawa state.

    While the Jigawa state government has paid one billion naira on its own part to boost the programme for more people to benefits.

    The projects manager of the programme in Jigawa state Alh Umar Idris has disclosed. Umar Idris said the j cares projects in the state categorised in to various department.

    The department include ministry of Agric, ministry of commerce, ministry of women affairs, cash transfer office and Fadama office.

    He explained further that all the department received monitry allocation from N care under the world bank projects 

    According the j care coordinator in the state Malam Idris Umar said the Fadama received the sum of N678 million 

    While ministry of Agric received N36 million only for the projects, also the state ministry of commerce received the sum of N204million.

    The state coordinator added that the cash transfer office under the ministry of women affairs received the sum of N356 million, while the ministry of women affairs received the sum of N51 million 

    It was reliably gathered that the companies register with nasal and ministry of commerce were not been carried along to participate under the project .

    It was also gathered that most of the cooperate company under commerce and those registered under small scale Industries were sideline by j cares official.

    The companies were accused of involving their private and relatives company to participate in purchasing and supplied of materials under J care projects 

    When contacted the coordinator of J care Alhaji Umar Idris, said he was not aware of the issues, assuring to call an emergency meeting with all j care official posted in the concern ministry and parastetal to discuss on the issues 

    He assured that he who ever found wanting, his ministry or parastetal must take action against the person since majority of them are civil servant.

    The coordinator said, “I will not take it lightly this issue is a very serious issue and we must tackle the problem on the issue raised”

    The National Association of Small Scale Industries NASSI, said 118 companies are eligible to participate in the J cares programme .

    The state coordinator of NASSI Alh Danlami said the CAC under NASSI has 86 companies while for cooparative society is only 32 registered companies which make the total of 118 companies in NASSI.

    He praised the J cares committees formed by the Jigawa state government for screaning  the companies registered under ministry of commerce .

    Danlami said some of the companies registered include the companies registered with NASSI, adding that out of 118 companies 40 persent were successfully registered to benefit the j cares projects in the state.

    He therefore call on the J cares committee to involve more companies who are fully registered with ministry of commerce and NASSI who are qualified for the projects to participate.

    He also thank the Jigawa state government for paying it’s counter fund of one billion naira for the kickoff the projects.

    Danlami who spoke on behalf of NASSI thank Jigawa state governor Badaru Abubakar for making the programme reality.

    Explained further that the Jigawa state due process has done well for the training of members of small scale enterprises on how their companies will participate in contract activities in the state.

    It is reliably gathered that must of the qualified registered company were not been carried along to participate in the projects 

    Meanwhile, reporter find out that majority of executive of who handled the projects has fabricated their own company and registered their company and abandoned the must qualified companies registered under NASSI and others who registered with ministry of commerce for the past twenty years 

    It has been observed that all the fabricated companies by that executive does not meet the required criteria
