The APC national officials narrowly escaped been lynched by angry mobs who were allegedly members of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Jigawa state who attended the occasion to disrupt the gathering.
The occasion was organised as an empowerment programme by the party’s (APC) national youth leader, Mr Dayo Abdullah Israel in Dutse, the Jigawa state capital.
A reliable source confirmed that the angry youth were at the venue of the event that is to inaugurate the national youth leader at the Manpower Development Institute in the state capital Dutse.
Another sources who is also an eye witness told our reporter that the youth were provoked by the list of the empowerment beneficiaries allegedly submitted by the APC national financial secretary, Mr Bashir Usman Gumel, who is also an indigene of Jigawa state.
Raye24reporters, gathered that the programme was perfectly organised until the national financial secretary, Mr Usman Gumel came to speak and the angry youth started chanting shouting bamayi, qaryane in which the youth in hundred start booing him saying “Bamayi, Karyane, Zauna” means we don’t want to hear from you, you are a liar, you are a bad representative from the state and many condemnation statement.
The national official and state official of the party made all effort to calm the aggrieved mobs but was not successful as a result of that, the financial secretary was snicked out of the venue of the programme.
Speaking to news men one of the youth who preferred anonymity, said the entire youth in the party are not happy with segregation attitude on party members by the national officials on the right, privileges and benefits of the party from the national headquarter.
The youth alleged that Usman never brought any thing from national office, and that he gives little that comes to some that don’t deserve it. “We as a genuine members who are working for the party 24/7 are not been considered but considering some are only around to collect or benefited”.
He condemned the occasion intotality as the act of the financial secretary, said he is sabortaging the party in the state.
When contacted the APC national financial secretary, Mr Bashir Usman Gumel on phone confirmed the incident, said “yes it happened, and I can’t deny it”.
Mr Bashir Usman Gumel, said that “this is nothing, is not something to be worried about. It was some few people with personal grievances”.
“You heard it your selves, they were saying we gave some not them. I can not give to all at the same time. It is not possible, I’m not God. It is only God that gives to everyone at the same time”.
He added that “my happiness is that they said it i’m giving to some, it meaning I’m giving and it most be one after another. If they exercise patient it will come to them. everyone will receive it is a matter of time”.
