The candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, said the ten poorest states in Nigeria are in the North.
Obi said this during the interactive session with Arewa leaders in Kaduna State on Monday, October 17, 2022.
While speaking at the event, the candidate said he will eradicate poverty if he’s elected as President of Nigeria in 2023.
He added that the North will benefit a lot from his administration and will ensure that poverty is eradicated in the region.
The former Governor of Anambra State also said that the highest number of out-of-school children is from the North. He added that education would be his priority if elected as president.
Peter Obi said the fight against insecurity will be the first thing he will do when he assumes office in 2023.
Obi is contesting the next presidential election with other frontline candidates on February 25, 2023.
