The Government of Jigawa state has signed an agreement with a team of water experts from Netherland with a view to bring a lasting solution to annual flooding in the state.
The team led by Mr. Erick a flood experts from Netherland will be working with some experts in the state to bring the last solution.
Speaking at government house governor Badaru, said the main purpose of bringing the expert into the state is to team up with their counterpart in the state to work together.
He explained further that the local experts in the state will work with Netherland professionals to bring an end to the annual flooding.
Badaru confirmed that the expert will stay in Jigawa state for five days to enable them go round the state to observe things themselves.
In his word: “the local experts and the foreign expert will work together in order to find permanent solution to the annual flooding that destroys properties and farm produce in the state, which has affected the people of the state”.
Badaru charge the expert to work judiciously, by bringing solution so that the water will be useful for the purpose of irrigation and also to provide water to communities across the state.
He assured that the Netherland team is an expert that will provide lasting solution to Jigawa state.
