Thousands of APC Members Dump Party For PDP in Kogi

The All Progressives Congress (APC) on Monday 26, 2022 suffered yet another blow as the party lost hundreds of its members to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Okene and Ogori Magongo local government areas. 

The defection which took place at the country home of the PDP senatorial candidate, Barr. Natasha H Akpoti-Uduaghan had executive members and hundreds of other APC faithful in Okene and Ogori Magongo local government areas who dumped the party for the PDP. 

The decampees promised to work assiduously for the success of Barr. Natasha to emerge victorious in the general elections.

The zonal PDP chairman, Alhaji Ilyas Zubair, who joined other PDP stakeholders to receive the APC decampees into the folds of 

PDP directed them to join the Ward meetings in their various locations to be registered as members of PDP. 

Commending the courage of the decampees, Barr. Natasha promised not to disappoint them. 

“I welcome you all home, the next election will be transformative, you must have looked into our folds and consider us worthy of your support, we will not fail you and we will speak for your interests. 

“We must all wake up from our slumber and do the right thing. You have the power to change history and correct the narrative in the 2023 general elections. 

“As you leave here today, become the new ambassadors of the vision to change the narrative, spread the message of the next election, and tell others we have all suffered together and the transformation we are

bringing is for everybody. Be ambassadors of the vision to change our story that will usher us all into a bright future.” she said.

The paramount traditional ruler and Ohinoyi of Ebiraland, Dr. Ado Ibrahim, had also expressed his support for Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, Kogi Central Senatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party.

Calling on people to support Natasha’s ambition, the first class monarch said, “My dear respectful citizens, I present to you my daughter, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan.

“She knows what she wants and when to get it. Go and take care of her as the only female in the contest. I am proud of her and want to have more of her in Ebiraland.

“I believe in righteousness because righteousness exalts a nation, I believe in those who are doing the right things.

“What you are doing is for good, I won’t respect anybody who is not doing the right thing. My mission and fulfillment is to have more of Natasha in Ebiraland for the whole nation to know who we are. I know what you went through to build your image.”
