2023 Election: Gov Wike Instructs Rivers Residents on Who, How to Vote

Governor Nyesom Wike of River State has called on the people of Rivers State to vote against his political opponents and enemies in Saturday’s presidential and national assembly elections.

Wike instructed the people to ‘pepper’ all those who are against him and the people of Rivers State.

According to him, the action will make him and the people of Rivers happy while it will bring anger to their opponents.

Governor Wike stated this on Wednesday at Wakama Junction, where he inaugurated the Ogu-Ekporo-Kpogor-Wakama Road in the state and promised to come back to thank the people if they obey his instructions.

The statement comes at a time Wike and the G5 Governors have taken a stand against working for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Atiku Abubakar in the forthcoming polls.

“Happiness is our own. Anger is their own. You want us to pepper them? Are you ready to pepper them? You’ll pepper them on Saturday. I will come back after Saturday to thank you again and before I leave (office), I will give you another thing (gift),” he said.

Wike said the people of Rivers State deserve the best and that is why his government is doing projects. He expressed happiness that the road project was promised and delivered accordingly.

The Governor called on the people to reciprocate his goodwill by voting against his political opponents on Saturday.

He said; “I have said it severally that our people deserve the best. I don’t see why some communities could not be linked up with roads

“As we were coming, I felt proud. I was so happy. I was so elated. Some of us have never been to Wakama town before. But because of this road, I am able to reach Wakama town. I thank God almighty.

“So, having made my promises and fulfilled them, I hope, you all will fulfill your promises too? On Saturday, you’ll do your own work to make us happy and make those people to be angry?”
