Peter Obi Storms Appeal Court to Hear Case on BVAS Inspection

A video showing the moment the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi, arrived the Appeal Court to push for the permission to inspect the electoral materials used during the just-concluded polls, in which the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared Bola Tinubu as president-elect, has surfaced on social media.

Raye24reporters reports that Peter Obi had earlier filed a fresh application to physically inspect all the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) used for the presidential election.

Obi and LP brought their application on Monday by way of motion on notice, days after INEC urged the Court to allow its officials to reconfigure the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) devices ahead of the forthcoming governorship and state assembly elections.

Obi and LP, through their team of lawyers led by Onyechi Ikpeazu (SAN), said the essence of the application is to enable them to extract data embedded in the BVAS, “which represent the actual results from Polling Units”.

Below is a video of the LP candidate alongside the party’s national chairman, Julius Abure, at the court today with the legal team ahead of the hearing today.
