‘I’m Not Doing You Any Favour’ – Adeleke Tells Osun Residents

The Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has continued to brag about his achievement in office for the first 100 days, saying he is not doing the state any favour.

This is amidst the All Progressives Congress (APC) claims that Adeleke’s 100 days in office are uneventful and unpalatable.

However, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) faulted the assessment of the APC stating that Adeleke has performed better than his predecessor.

In a post shared on Twitter, the governor said he is not doing the residents of the state any favour but fulfilling the task they voted for him to do.

He wrote: “I am not doing you any favor, I am only fulfilling the task you voted me to do”

Meanwhile, Adeleke on Friday disclosed that the state has lost billions of Naira that should have been earned as Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) to illegal miners.

Adeleke alleged that the administration of Gboyega Oyetola wasted resources in the way the Ilesa Water Project was executed.

Raye24reporters learnt that Adeleke stated this as he addressed academic and non-academic staff during an unscheduled visit to the Osun State College of Education, Ilesa.

The Osun State Governor during the visit informed the people of Ijesha about the Ilesa Water Project.

He also spoke on the effect of illegal mining activities in the region under the previous administration in relation to water pollution, environmental degradation and income leakage.

The issue of illegal mining and the upgrade of the College of Education, Ilesa, has been a source of contention between the Adeleke administration and Oyetola’s government.
