The Forum of Edo North All Progressives Congress (APC) Women Leaders has congratulated Muslim Faithfuls across the Senatorial District on the occasion of this year’s EIDEL FITR celebration.
The Felicitation message was contained in a statement signed by Dr. Dame Omoua Oni Okpaku on behalf of the Women Leaders and made available to Newsmen.
She thanked Almighty Allah for the opportunity to witness another EIDEL FITR celebration, which climaxed the only month of Ramadan.
Dr. Oni -Okpaku urged Muslims across the Senatorial District to imbibe the teachings of Ramadan, which is a sacred obligation as one of the five Pillars of Islam.
According to her, Muslims and Non Muslims alike should pray for the peace, progress and unity of Nigeria.
She also urged them to join hands together to build a prosperous and better Nigeria that will be proud of in the comity of Nations.
The Former Edo State Commissioner For Environment and Sustainability called on Muslims to sustain the virtues of self discipline, sacrifice, genuine commitment and compassion to Fellow Nigerians irrespective of their religion, tribe or race.
The APC Senatorial Women Leader also rejoiced with Hajia Aishetu Oshiomhole, Mother of Former Governor and Senator-Elect representing Edo North for a successful Ramadan completion and for her motherly role towards the success of the APC in the state.
Dr. Oni Okpaku wished all Muslims a successful celebration.
In another development,
the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba, has joined other Muslim Faithfuls at the Mambilla Barracks prayer ground to observe the Eid prayers commemorating the year 2023 Eid-el-Fitr celebrations.
The IGP urged all members of the Muslim Ummah to imbibe the spirit of the Sallah season and uphold the tenets of the Holy Quran in all their conduct and relationships with others.
Similarly, the IGP assures that the police have carried out all necessary deployments for the prevention of crime and the protection of all peaceable members of the society.
