Supreme Court Reserves Judgment in Peter Obi’s Case Against Tinubu

The Supreme Court on Monday reserved Judgment in the appeal filed by the Labour Party (LP) and its presidential candidate, Peter Obi against the victory of President Bola Tinubu.

The 7-man panel of the Supreme Court led by Justice John Okoro, reserved the ruling after hearing arguments from lawyers to the parties involved.

Lawyer to the appellants, Livy Uzoukwu (SAN) while adopting his written briefs, prayed the court to allow the appeal and grant the reliefs sought by his client.

However, Abubakar Mahmoud (SAN), for INEC; Wole Olanipekun (SAN) for Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettma; and Akin Olujinmi (SAN) for the APC, urged the court to dismiss the appeal for lacking in merit.
