On Monday, President Bola Tinubu announced that the period of industrial activities in the country’s educational system had ended.
The statement was delivered by the President during a speech at the Transcorp Hilton in Abuja during the 29th annual Nigerian Economic Summit, which is organized by the Nigerian Economic Summit Group (NESG).
Additionally, Tinubu revealed that the Students Loans Scheme of his administration will start in January 2024.
“The new Students Loan Program is to start by January 2024. We are saying no more strikes for the sake of our kids’ and students’ futures.
“A consumer credit scheme is required, and it needs to start as quickly as possible.
“When you have to hunt for money to buy a car and when there is no mortgage for home ownership, we cannot talk about anti-corruption,” he remarked.
