Tunji Ajibulu, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress and a member of the APC presidential Campaign Council at the 2023 presidential election, has revealed that he is not supporting the candidate of the APC, Usman Ododo, at the forthcoming off-cycle election in Kogi State.
Making this disclosure while appearing on Channels TV’s Sunrise Daily on Monday, Ajibulu alleged that Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello had hijacked the party structure in the state.
He claimed that aggrieved party members had dumped the party to support the candidate of the ADC at the poll.
“In this elections going on in Kogi state, I’m not supporting APC’s candidate, I’m supporting the ADC candidate who used to be in APC. So, there is a lot of things happening in Kogi state that some people do not understand. The governor has hijacked the structure of the party,” he said.
“ADC has become a platform for disgruntled people that left APC; that is where they go to, to find a voice. For this election, I’m supporting Adeleke Abejide, who is in the House of reps,” he added.
His comment comes just a few days after the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) allied with the Labour Party to unseat the state governor, Yahaya Bello.
Raye24reporters had earlier reported that the Labour Party, over the weekend, collapsed to support PDP’s Dino Melaye at the poll.
