“‘Good morning Sir, I’m 7 months pregnant and I have been suffering all kinds of abuse by my husband, beats me, locks me out of the house most times, forcefully collects my savings and torture me.
“As am talking to u right now he locked me up in the house went away with the keys without food or water to drink.’

In response to the tweet, Edafe wrote, “Direct her to the nearest Police station and also advise her that marriage is not by force. She can get out while she is still alive.”
Woman returns to her husband
In a latest turn of event, the activist, Harrison Gwamnishu has finally removed his assistance to the married woman, Mrs Joy Nnajiofor, who endured physical abuse in the hands of her husband.
In a post shared on his IG page this morning November 10, Harrison disclosed that the Aba-based woman has gone back to her husband.
He wrote;
“’FINAL UPDATE ON THE ABIA WOMAN ASSAULTED BY HUSBAND. MRS JOY NNAJIOFOR HAS GONE BACK TO HER HUSBAND. I updated how we arrested the husband for grievous bodily harm and also updated how the woman pleaded for her husband to be released. Yesterday I also updated again where the woman accused the police of intimidating her and the reason we re-opened her case. Nobody intimidated her.
“This case has been OPEN & CLOSED Yesterday, we made an update on how our team took her to meet the Abia State Commissioner of Police and how CP Abia instructed the DPO Abayi Division to charge the case to court after investigation. I wish to inform everyone that the WOMAN has gone back to her HUSBAND YESTERDAY after he was released. When I posted that our NGO had withdrawn from supporting her, it was @MercyJohnsonokojie who called me to please help again. All thanks to her for the calls and her showing concern. Let nobody trouble us on this case again.”
“THIS HER ATTITUDE has affected his sister cynthia Obi who has not slept just to see her sister leave an abusive marriage. Thanks to Abia State Police Command for the continued partnership and our Abia team led by Ochiegbu Marvelous Ochiegbu Marvelous for their daily sacrifices. Harrison Gwamnishu.”
He also shared a video of Cynthia revealing to him that Mrs Nnajiofor has returned to her abusive husband.
