In the spirit of hospitality and appreciation the management and staff of transcorp Hilton Abuja has gathered friends and associates to celebrate Christmas tree lighting at the lobby of the hotel.
The celebration according to the managing director and chief executive officer of transcorp Hilton Dupe Olusola it’s a yearly event to appreciate guests and give people the opportunity to enter into the Christmas season with transcorp to merry and let people understand the spirit of hospitality.
The MD/CEO also stated that the season is meant for thanks giving,celebration and appreciation of going through the entire year and recognising that transcorp Hilton welcomes everybody to come and spend time with the organisation.
MD Dupe Olusola also said the season is an avenue of giving back to customers as everyone at the lobby is served varieties of drinks at no cost over the Christmas period,people can come with their families to eat and experience the hospitality from all outlet of Hilton.
When asked what the less privileged in the society can benefit from this the managing director said the management is actively involved in giving back to the community via a program with United nation especially the girl child through mentoring in different skills.
General manager of transcorp Hilton Bulent Tarlan also added to what the managing director has said that transcorp is having a program on women empowerment which six women at the end of the program will get skills on how to see and how to make businesses in six month.
He further said that throughout the six month they will offer food,transportation and a conducive environment to operate.
Such program is not meant for the Christmas season alone but throughout the year.
Finally the MD CEO said the target of the management is to open an event centre come 2024 with about 3000 capacity to enable lot of activities.
