Adeoye Assumed Office as Permanent Secretary CMO, Promises to Step up Reform Initiatives

    In line with the Reform initiatives of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Dr. Folasade Yemi-Esan, CFR, to reposition the Civil Service into a world-class standard and the hub of socio-economic development in the nation, the Office has received Mr. Adeoye Adeleye Ayodeji as the new Permanent Secretary, Career Management Office (CMO), Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (OHCSF).

    Mr. Adeoye Ayodele, who was recently appointed as Federal Permanent Secretary by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu was received by the outgoing Permanent Secretary Dr. Marcus Ogunbiyi along with Directors and staff of OHCSF during the handing over ceremony, today, Tuesday 16, 2024 in Abuja.

    The new Permanent Secretary, while soliciting for the cooperation and dedication of staff, promise to step up the reforms programmes championed by Dr. Folasde Yemi-Esan, in order make the Service more innovative, challenging and competitive.

    He urged the staff to work consciously as a team player with a view to contributing to the development of the civil service and the country at large.

    Adeoye eulogized Dr. Marcus Ogunbiyi for his relentless efforts in moving the Career Management Office forward within a short and promised to always consult him in moving the Office to greater heights.

    Earlier, the outgoing Permanent Secretary, Career Management Office, Dr. Marcus Ogunbiyi who has just been redeployed to the Federal Ministry of Housing and Urban Development, expressed satisfaction and self fulfillment serving in the OHCSF, which he termed the engine and coordinating room of the Service. He stated that he has learnt some many useful techniques, skills and innovation as Permanent Secretary CMO, stressing that ‘’if the history of the is Office is to be written, I will be among the best hand”, he started.

    Dr. Ogunbiyi added that a number of reform initiatives such as the introduction of Leadership Enhancement and Development Programme (Lead-P), which is now a new cadre approved in the scheme of Service, Integrated Personnel Payroll Information System (IPPIS) Human Resource module, the Enterprise Content Management (ECM) and Performance Management System (PMS) are some of the newly introduced reforms positioned to change the narrative of the Service.

    He urged the incoming Permanent Secretary to give his best because the task ahead is enormous, assuring that his doors will remain open.
