The Federal Government, through the Federal Ministry of Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs, has unveiled the 2024 to 2028 strategic plans to advance the transformative roadmap of the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu administration.
While unveiling the plans on Wednesday in Abuja, the Minister of Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs, Rt. Zaphanial Jisalo said that the comprehensive five-year plan is in alignment with the visionary renewed hope agenda of Mr. President to rejuvenate the nation through the principles anchored in progress, innovation, and inclusivity.
He said the plan which was developed through the active participation of all stakeholders in the ministry is arranged sequentially into four strategic pillars and eight priorities areas with eight goals, thirteen strategic objectives, thirteen interventions as well as eighty-two key activities.
“This comprehensive five-year plan stands as a testament to our steadfast dedication to advancing the transformative roadmap of Mr. President.
” The Renewed Hope Agenda resonates with the essence of our ministry, and we strive to be catalysts for realising this agenda.
He outlined his ministry’s focus as aligning with the key principles of job creation, innovation, economic growth, social development, sustainability, and inclusively for the youth and vulnerable population to combat extremism and promote national security.
“Our strategies encompass bolstering local production, reducing imports, supporting our farmers, nurturing emerging sectors, empowering the vulnerables and ensuring accessible healthcare, education and housing.
“This plan is not just a document. It is proof of our dedication to fulfilling the aspirations of our citizens. It is our aspiration that through this roadmap, we can catalyse Nigeria’s aspiration towards a future where every citizen enjoys the fruits of a thriving economy and the promise of a brighter tommorro,” the Minister said.
Jisalo assured that with unwavering determination and a sense of shared responsibility, his ministry will execute the plan meticulously.
”We understand that to achieve our objectives, we must act with efficiency, accountability, and transparency. This plan provides a clear direction yet remains flexible to adapt to the evolving needs and dynamics of our society and global landscape.
”It underscores the importance of collaboration and partnership, Harnessing the collective strength of governments, businesses, civil society and citizens alike,” he stressed.
On her part, the Permanent Secretary in the ministry, Ibiene P. Roberts thanked all stakeholders and partners for their contributions to the success of the plan.
