Youth Development Minister Mourns the Passing of Former Kwara State Deputy Governor, His Excellency Elder Peter Kisira.

    The Honourable Minister of Youth Development, Dr. Jamila Bio-Ibrahim has mourned the demise of former Deputy Governor of Kwara State, His Excellency Elder Peter Kisira. This was contained in a statement signed by the Honourable Minister of Youth Development, which reads in part: “The Ministry of Youth Development and the entire youth constituency of Nigeria express their heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, and associates of the late Elder Peter Kisira, as well as to the government and people of Kwara State, upon hearing the news of his passing in the early hours of Saturday, March 30, 2024.

    “Elder Peter Kisira’s contributions to the development and progress of Kwara State are indelible. His exemplary leadership and commitment to service have left an enduring legacy that will continue to inspire future generations.

    “During his tenure as Deputy Governor, Elder Kisira demonstrated a profound understanding of the challenges facing young people and worked to create opportunities for their growth and development.

    “His passion for youth empowerment and advocacy for their inclusion in decision-making will be remembered with gratitude.
    In this time of grief, let it be acknowledged that Elder Peter Kisira lived a remarkable life and profoundly impacted society.

    “May his soul rest in eternal peace, and may his family find strength and comfort in the memories they shared with him.

    “As the nation mourns his passing, let us also honour his memory by continuing the work he started, striving for a society where every young person can thrive and contribute meaningfully to the development of our
    nation,” it also added.
