Amotekun nabs ex-convict for burglary, theft in Osun

A 40-year-old man, identified as Rufai Wasiu, have been arrested by men of the Osun Amotekun Corps for burglary and phone theft.

The Corps Commander, Brigadier General Bashir Adewinmbi, while confirming the arrest to journalists in Osogbo on Thursday, said the suspect, who specialises in house burgling and stealing, was arrested after a complaint was lodged.

“The suspect was arrested in Osogbo after burgling a house and stealing phones by the operatives after a complaint was lodged at our Osogbo command about his atrocities.

“The suspect confessed to committing the act and had been jailed for the same act in the past.

“The suspect has been handed over to the police for subsequent interrogation and prosecution,” Adewinmbi said.
