A controversial video showing the moment some aggrieved Muslims faulted President Bola Tinubu’s appointment of Nyesom Wike as Minister of FCT isn’t sitting comfortably with many Nigerians.
In the video, one of them who spoke out audibly could be heard saying that Christians should never be allowed to rule FCT because ‘Abuja is only for Muslims’.
“A Christian should never be a Minister for Abuja. How can we allow such a thing to befall us as Muslims? Wike, you will surely be removed from that seat. Inshallah. We will never accept it. We are not strangers in Nigeria,” he said.
The virality of the video comes after controversial Islamic cleric, Sheikh Ahmad Gumi expressed his dissatisfaction with Wike, whom he described as ‘Satanic’ for receiving the Israeli Ambassador to Nigeria in his office.
The video has received massive backlash from commenters who shared mixed views online.
