Nigeria Former Vice President Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, has called for the deployment of diplomacy in order to stop the military invasion of Ukraine by Russia.
In a tweet via his Twitter page on Thursday, the chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) appealed to nations of goodwill to help solve the conflict between the two countries.
Abubakar also asked the Nigerian government to do its best to immediately evacuate Nigerians in Ukraine, majority of which are students.
He wrote: “The conflict between Russia & Ukraine demands that all nations of goodwill must rise to ensure that diplomacy is deployed to de-escalate the situation. I will also request that the Nigerian government does its best to evacuate Nigerians in Ukraine, majority of which are students.”
