Recently, posters containing Mal Nasir El-Rufai’s pictures with out-of-context comments attached to them resurfaced in the streets of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
These posters were created by the so-called Middle Belt Forum, Shi’ah movement in Nigeria and CAN Kaduna State Chapter whose actions speaks volumes of their characters and who wants to create tension, doubt, and confusion in an attempt to discredit the personality of Mal Nasir El-Rufai.
While it is common for any person to embark on a foreign trip, the negative narratives and fake, malicious allegations surrounding El-Rufai’s foreign trips are baseless and misleading.
These groups have claimed that El-Rufai is a security threat and that the Department of State Services (DSS) should invite him for interrogation over his foreign trip activities targeted at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu Administration.
This was without ethnic or religious consideration against insinuations that he was the security threat. These are but acts of mischief and enmity to the personality of Mal Nasir El-rufai.
However, these claims by the so-called rebranded mischief groups that lacks evidence and are uncalled for; they resort to such speculation only to spark various reactions in the public domain.
It is important to view these noisemakers as agents of destruction who are going all out to create chaos and disharmony in the country. Since when does embarking on a foreign trip become a security threat by El-Rufai? And on what grounds should the DSS invite him?
Unfortunately, these are so -called groups movements who are working tirelessly to undermine Nasir El-Rufai’s reputation and create discord between him and Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
It is important also to note that Mal Nasir El-Rufai is a principled decision-maker with a track record of integrity. He has already played his part, especially in the emergence of the Bola Ahmed Tinubu Administration, at a time when many, including those trying to create discord between him and the President, were against backing the presidency for the South.
It is worth noting that El-Rufai had initially planned to pursue his PhD program outside Nigeria, but Tinubu appealed to him to continue serving the nation due to his capacity and accomplishments. Regardless of whether he holds any position or not, El-Rufai continues to give his best to Nigeria, especially Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
El-Rufai has proven himself as a man of his word for anyone seeking to understand his capacity, integrity, and responsible decision-making personality. It is important to also recognize that El-Rufai has consistently shown his allegiance and solidarity to Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the APC, which promotes inclusivity and opposes discrimination and injustice.
While some remain sceptical and require further convincing, it is evident when President Bola Ahmed Tinubu congratulates El-Rufai on his birthday, expressing confidence in his commitment to national service and recognizing his exemplary leadership and remarkable contributions to the nation throughout his illustrious career in public service as a two-term Governor under the All Progressive Congress (APC), former Director General of the Bureau of Public Enterprises (BPE), and former Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
The above is a clear testimony by Mr President to a great personality whose leadership style and achievements in promoting unity and effective governance have positioned him as a visionary leader and a beacon of inspiration to many.
His boldness in making difficult decisions and not compromising his values attracts angry losers and enemies of progress.
Therefore, to the so-called middle belt forum, Kaduna CAN and Shi’ah movement, Mal Nasir El-Rufai has received a clear testimony from the number one citizen of this country, and answering the call of the President and stating the obvious is nothing to glare about.
Certainly, based on Mal Nasir’s pedigree, intellectual sagacity, as well as his unwavering commitment to delivering quality representation through good leadership anchored in love, unity, development, and togetherness, Mal Nasir El-Rufai has not disappointed the people of Kaduna and Nigeria as a whole.
Mal Nasir El-Rufai’s ability to stand firm beyond mere rhetoric and be more relevant in the Nigerian political landscape certainly causes a serious upset to mischievous noisemakers who latch onto everything around him and twist everything concerning him.
Therefore, the criticism and creation of discord between Mal Nasir and President Tinubu’s Administration are uncalled for, baseless, and misinformed. History will continue to judge Mal Nasir El-Rufai’s right for his consistent allegiance and solidarity to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the APC, regardless of whatever it may be.
