Bandits Attack Kaduna Community, Abducts 53 People

No fewer than fifty-three Persons, have been abducted on Monday when some armed bandits invade a community in Kaduna State.

Raye24reporters, understands that the issue of insecurity and killings in the state, especially Southern Kaduna has been increasing to an alarming rate lately. However, the latest attack by the assailants happened in Anguwan Pa Community, in the Kajuru Local Government Area of the state.

It was gathered that the bandits stormed the area at about 7:30 pm on Monday and surrounded the village.

A resident of the community who confirmed the incident to Vanguard Newspaper said initially fifty-three people were kidnapped, but thirty-seven 37 of them escaped and returned home on Tuesday.

According to him, the other 16 residents are still with the bandits. He explained further that “The bandits are now attacking small villages with less population. We didn’t expect that the bandits will attack Angwan Pa because, after the attack on Anguwan Aku on Sunday, soldiers were deployed to condone the area.

“The bandits came around 7:30 pm yesterday and surrounded the village. They usually come in very large numbers and well armed. They will just sneak into a community, and before you know it, they had surrounded everywhere.

“If you run, they will shoot you and kill you. They don’t usually enter big communities that are densely populated. They target small and remote villages that are sparsely populated. They dare to enter big villages because they are also afraid for their lives. Many rural communities in Kajuru are living in perpetual fear.”

Raye24reporters reports that the latest attack is coming barely a day after the Christmas Day attack on Angwan Aku in the same Kajuru LGA, where one person was killed, and 45 others were kidnapped.

However, the state command of the Nigeria Police Force is yet to release any official statement to confirm the latest attack.
