Birniwa Local Government Council has inaugurated a 15 man committee against 2023 national housing and population census that has been scheduled commence on May 2023.
The council chairman, Alh Umar Baffa Birniwa, who made the inauguration today in the local govt conference hall, said the committee was inaugurated inline with the directive from the State Ministry of local govt and chieftaincy affairs.
The chairman who was represented by the Speaker of the local govt legislative council, Hon Sale Amadi Karanka, charge members of the committee to put in their best towards inspecting the conduct of the exercise in the area.
He also pledged the local govt support and cooperation to ensure success of the exercise in the area.
Explaining further, he noted that Birniwa local govt area was not favoured in the last 2006 national population census considering its size and densely populated area.
Those inaugurated includes local govt council chairman, Alh Umar Baffa Birniwa as chairman of the local govt council committee others include local govt education secretary, Nut chairman, Nulges chairman, local govt information officer, Local govt NOA officer, District Heads of Birniwa, Kazura and Diginsa as members of the committees among others.
In another development the Jama,atul Nassarul Islam Kafin Hausa local Government Chapter has donated Clothing Material and laundry soap worth thousand of naira to the Inmates of Birniwa Rehabilitation Center.
The Chairman of the Kafin Hausa jama,atul Nassarul Islam, Mallam Habu Zakari Made the representation of the materials to the principal of the center.
He said the materials donated were 45 female cloths and wrappers, 40 No Cartons of washing and bath soups and detergent.
He counted that, the gesture was intended in order to give the inmates Sallah Cloths to celebrate the Idel- Fitr.
In his response the principal of the Birniwa rehabilitation center, Sulieman Umar, thank the association for the good gesture and promise to utilize the materials among inmates.
