Stakeholders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) from Igyorev Ward in Ipav, Gboko Local Government Area of Benue State, on Tuesday stromed the National Secretariat, Abuja.

Among the stakeholders are members of the Igyorev ward of the PDP where the party’s National Chairman, Dr. Iyiorchia Ayu hails from.
Recall that the executive of Ayu’s Igyorov Ward in the Gboko Local Government Area of Benue State suspended the PDP chairman for alleged anti-party activities.
24 hours later, a High Court sitting in Makurdi presided over by Justice Wilfred Kpochin issued an interim order restraining Ayu from parading himself as the PDP chairman.
The order of the court was issued on Monday following an ex-parte application brought before the court by a PDP member, Conrad Utaan.
Performing a u-turn, the stakeholders from the ward stated that they were not aware of the suspension, adding that their signatures were forged.
In a statement addressed to the PDP Chairman in Gboko Local Government Area of Benue State and made available to Naija News, the executive members of Igyorov Ward of Benue State disclosed that they did not approve Ayu’s suspension.
They subsequently called on PDP members and supporters to ignore the development, adding that their signatures were forged to promote mischief.
