The Conference of Speakers of States Houses of Assembly has rejected the 44 amendments of the review of the 1999 Constitution by the Adhoc Committee of the National Assembly.
This was revealed by the Deputy Senate President and Co-Chairman of the Constitution Review Committee, Ovie Omo-Agege.
He spoke on Tuesday with newsmen at the National Assembly, Abuja.
Omo-Agege revealed that the Speakers however said that the States Assemblies will only consider the 44 amendments in the constitution if State Police, State Judicial Council and Legislative Bureaucracy among others were included.
He said only 11 State Assemblies have passed the law, with 25 ignoring the amendment.
