President Muhammadu Buhari and the Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, would storm Ekiti next week Tuesday.
The State Governor, Kayode Fayemi, made this known in Ado-Ekiti on Wednesday upon his arrival at the state after the APC presidential primary held in Abuja.
Fayemi said Buhari, Tinubu and other leaders of the party would be in the state to campaign for the party’s governorship candidate, Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji ahead of the June 18 governorship election.
He added that the APC National Chairman, Senator Abdullahi Adamu; governors and other party stakeholders would also visit the state for the campaign.
The governor said Tinubu’s emergence as the APC flag bearer would start from the success of the party in the coming gubernatorial election.
On his reason for stepping down for Tinubu, Fayemi said his decision was to support intentions geared towards the progress and prosperity of the region.
