Civil service will collapse in two to three years in Jigawa if problem if not addressed Furera Baffa

The number of Pensioners are far better than the Numbers of civil servant in Jigawa state which include political office holders local, government staff and state government workers in totality the state has only 58000 work force managing.

The state civil service in the state  with the support of Corp members and casual staff Working in the state.

This was disclosed by the group leader of Jigawa concern citizens of Nigeria Hajia Furera AbduIlahi Baffa in a press conference held at three star hotel today in Dutse 

According to Furera majority of sensitive office in the state Secretariat were managed by corp members and casual staff due to lack of manpower the state civil service is experiencing.

Hajiya Furera, explained further that in the next two to three years coming the civil service will collapse in the state.

According their finding they discovered lack of commitment, discpline and capability among the civil servant working in the state.

She lamented that alot of experience staff who are from old Kano state have retired from service a situation which led many office on lock down due to non availability of human resources that will manage their offices.

Explained further that the state currently is facing serious challenge in the area of man power the issue does not only affecting the civil service in the state it will soon affect the pension system in the state, because the rate at which the civil servant retire has double the number of civil servant in the state and no replacement.

Therefore the pension will also collapse because no contribution. It is only payment and there is no contribution from the civil servant the system will also be collapse

She explained further that their team have visited many among the ministries in the state ware in their finding majority are lacking manpower to manage their offices

Confirming that there are some ministries in the state which is managed by a director as head of the ministry and that director does not even has assistant director neither staff officer.

Adding that in that ministry there was no supporting staff that will assist the serving director in fact there is no succession in civil service in Jigawa state workers are only retired.

Hajia Furera explained that the issue currently going on in Jigawa state must of the sub staff in Jigawa hospitals are managed by casual staff, she appealed to Jigawa state government as a matter of urgency to come to the aid of the state to lift out unemployement to employed people that will manage the vacant offices in the state.

Hajia Furera confirmed that majority of schools in the state right from primary schools up to senior secondary schools ware lacking personnel other are lacking qualified teachers to teach 

Explained further that according their finding there are several schools visited by their committee only one teacher is managing the school and is about to retired.

She therefore appealed to the Jigawa state government to lift embargo on employment of civil servant and applied the embargo on structure been the state has enough in structure of schools and hospitals
