The Committee Chairman Barrister Abdulfatah Abdulwahab Tahir disclosed this during the Inauguration of Zakkat distribution at Hadejia Emir’s Palace.
The items include farm produce, animals and money as arms according to Islamic religion where over Twenty Thousand vulnerable people have benefits from the gesture.
The chairman Talban Hadejia, said at this years Inauguration exercise One Million Five Hundred Thousand Naira (#1.5m) is to be distributed to one hundred and Fifty (150) Beneficiaries where each will received 10,000 Naira cash
He said the money was realized from Alhaji Abubakar Salisu Tela Yayari, a Business lman in Hadejia as his arm.
The Emir of Hadejia Alhaji (DR) Adamu Abubakar Maje CON, in his Inaugural speech urged wealthy individual to emulate Alhaji yayari, in promoting Islam and the society to pay arms as stipulated by Islamic laid down law
He expressed his displeasure over Businessmen not giving out Zakkat due to less privilege in the area.
He reminded them that Zakkat is one of the five pillars of Islam and therefore said it’s compulsory to every Muslim.
He charged beneficiaries to make good use of the gesture as to compliment with the rules governing it.
