A group of young pro-Tinubu protesters, on Monday, staged a demonstration in the federal capital territory (FCT), as the Supreme Court’s seven-man panel heard applications filed against the election of President Bola Tinubu.
Raye24reporters reports that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Atiku Abubakar, his Labour Party (LP) counterpart, Peter Obi, as well as the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) are all challenging Tinubu’s victory in separate petitions at the Supreme Court.
They are asking the court to nullify the election of Bola Tinubu on the grounds of non-compliance to the Electoral Act and corrupt practices.
Appearing at the court premises today, the protesters who donned black attires, held placards with inscriptions that read: “Thank You President Tinubu For restoring the Niger Delta Ministry”. “Nigerians did not vote for a Ponzi Merchant”. “The presidency is not an MMM Scheme.”
