The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, have started distributing sensitive materials to different local government areas of the state.
The State Resident Electoral Commisissioner, REC, Dr Onuoha Anugbum, who spoke to newsmen on Thursday, at the Benin branch of Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, said the election materials would be distributed to the 18 local government areas in the state.
According to him, the distribution is ahead of the Saturday, September 21, governorship election in the State.
According to him: “We are here, we have commenced the distribution of sensitive materials to the local government area.”
Raye24reporters report that the distribution process is being done in the premises of the Central Bank of Nigeria, located at the Ring Road, by Akpakpava Junction.
Scores of commercial buses hired by INEC are seen stationed at the bank’s side of the road.
Meanwhile, journalists, from print, electronic and online media are at the venue.
