The speaker Kano State House Assembly Rt Hon Jibrin Ismail Falgore has said the inflation rate as well as the economic situation facing Nigerians are getting worse every day.
This was contained in a press statement issued to the Newsmen on Tuesday 6th, January 2024 by the Chief Press Sectary/Spokesperson to the Speaker of Kano State House of Assembly, Kamaluddeen Sani Shawai.
According to Shawai, the speaker House of Assembly Rt Hon Jibrin Ismail Falgore said Nigerians are seriously facing hardship as government policies lead to a high cost of living, especially commodities.
While encouraging the farmers to redouble their efforts in their farming activities, Folgore observed that religious leaders, institutions, companies and government at all levels need to be more proactive towards the adjustments to cut down costs of living.
Falgore added that the economic situation has affected patronage as businesses are currently going down affecting every facet of life.
It, however, appealed to the federal government to devise means to address the current economic situation that leads to an increase in high commodities and inflation in the country.
Rt Hon Jibrin Ismail Falgore highlighted the necessity of the federal government to come up with a strategic economic plan to ease the people’s suffering.
