The Federal Government of Nigeria commiserates with the Government and people of the Kingdom of Morocco over the devastating 6.8 magnitude earthquake that struck the South-Western part of Marrakech late on Friday, 8th September, 2023.
This was contained in a statement signed by Fransisca Omayuli (Mrs), Spokesperson, Ministry of Foreign Affairs which reads in part: “Nigeria is deeply saddened by the impact of the earthquake that left over a thousand people dead and several others injured.
The Government and people of Nigeria extend their deepest condolences to the bereaved families and pray for the speedy recovery of the injured”.
